Life in the Cedar Rapids Region should feel like it revolves around you and your family.
We can (and will) talk about why this is one of the best places to move to and best places to live in the Midwest. But between great pay, low costs, and quality of life, there has to be something greater. We’ll cover affordability, family life, and the Midwest vibe below, but know that the real win is knowing you’re exactly where you need to be. That’s what you’ll feel here.
We work every day to create opportunities for both businesses and residents to win throughout the region.
Your Family
Your family could mean a partner and two kids, a dog and two cats, or just you. Either way, the Cedar Rapids Region is one of the best places to raise a family. Nationally recognized schools. Diverse communities. Events, activities, and areas that are made for people of all ages.
Life
People say Midwest life is slower, but in reality it just feels like there’s more time. That’s what happens when you have plenty to enjoy without traffic jams, packed crowds, and the rat race getting in the way.
Throughout the Cedar Rapids Region, we actually live “Iowa nice.” It’s accepting everyone for who they are. It’s celebrating culture. It’s a smile, a wave, and a feeling that you belong.
Education
Our region has been known for years for providing one of the best educational experiences in the nation. Cedar Rapids, Marion, and Hiawatha include more than 60 public and private schools. We’re also a center for higher education, with three colleges and one university providing associate’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
